User Data Deletion
Last updated: July 8, 2026
You can delete your Nineflat account and your personal data at any time, either yourself from inside the app or by sending us a request. This page explains the process, what gets deleted, and what is retained by law.
1. Delete Your Account Yourself (In-App)
- Sign in at app.nineflat.com.
- Go to Settings → Profile.
- At the bottom of the page, in the “Danger zone” section, click “Delete my account”.
- Type your account email address to confirm, then confirm the deletion.
Tip: if you want a copy of your data, export it first from Settings → Data export. After deletion, export is no longer possible.
2. Before You Delete
- Active subscription: if you have a paid subscription, cancel it first from Settings → Billing. Deletion cannot proceed while billing is active.
- Workspaces with data: if you own a workspace containing properties, tenancies, or other members, you must first transfer or close it — contact support@nineflat.com if you need help.
3. What Is Deleted & What Is Retained
When you delete your account:
- Your login identity (including Google or other social sign-in) is deleted from our authentication provider — signing in is no longer possible.
- Your profile’s personal details (name, email, phone, avatar, preferences) are permanently anonymized in our systems.
- Your workspace memberships are removed.
- Tenant screening documents are in any case deleted automatically 30 days after submission.
We retain only what the law or a legitimate interest requires: financial and tax records (payments, invoices) for the period tax law prescribes, security audit logs for a reasonable period, and email suppression entries so we never message you again. Contact details entered by your landlord or property manager in their own records (e.g. as a party to a lease) remain their responsibility as data controller. Backups rotate out within 30 days.
4. Deletion by Email Request
Alternatively, email support@nineflat.com or legal@nineflat.com from your account’s email address with the subject “Delete my account”. We will verify your identity and complete the deletion within 30 days at the latest, confirming to you in writing.
5. Third-Party Sign-Ins (Google, Facebook, etc.)
If you signed in via a third-party provider, deleting your Nineflat account deletes our copy of your data. You can additionally revoke the app’s access in the provider’s settings (e.g. Google: Account → Security → Third-party connections; Facebook: Settings → Apps and Websites).
6. Tenants & Others Without an Account
If your details exist in Nineflat because your landlord or property manager entered them (without you having an account), they are the data controller — address your deletion request to them. If you need help, write to legal@nineflat.com and we will assist as the GDPR provides.
